A publisher will assess your book and think about the sale-ability of the book, their unemotional attachment to the story helps them view from outside the box. Safe to say they aren’t going to choose an uninteresting cover and go with grandma’s favourite sweater as the cover, unless of course the book is about grandma’s favourite sweater.
